One or two other synapsids were in the matrix. Instead, I came out next to the albanerpetid lissamphibians. I'm too far out for that character sample to handle. :-)David Marjanovićhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00233722577300632805noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3248412803814730250.post-78678234687409428222016-03-29T04:20:59.726-07:002016-03-29T04:20:59.726-07:00As I discussed in my blog, Peters' topologies ...As I discussed in my blog, Peters' topologies are statistically mid-way between pure randomly-built trees and parsimony. They are evidently wrong and evidently biased (someway).Andrea Cauhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10855060597677361866noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3248412803814730250.post-23484344118616563102016-03-28T08:06:16.796-07:002016-03-28T08:06:16.796-07:00I think the Spinosauridae is probably the best par...I think the Spinosauridae is probably the best part. That's why Sereno definitions are terrible, because they only function in his topology. So by utterly failing in several areas, it shows just how far from reality Peters is.Mickey Mortimerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08831823442911513851noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3248412803814730250.post-85452320131276558482016-03-28T03:09:40.664-07:002016-03-28T03:09:40.664-07:00Because I find it entertaining to analyze phylogen...Because I find it entertaining to analyze phylogenetic hypotheses, plus more anti-Peters media might help dissuade people from trusting him.Mickey Mortimerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08831823442911513851noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3248412803814730250.post-65189211369939404732016-03-27T00:32:26.051-07:002016-03-27T00:32:26.051-07:00I think your attempt at applying phylogenetic nome...I think your attempt at applying phylogenetic nomenclature to Peters' cladogram is doomed to failure, as it is based on the assumption that Peters' phylogeny is in any way going to follow a traditional topology. I mean, Rahonavis is related to basal therizinosaurs and Deinocheirus is a spinosaurid so I have no expectation that, for example, Therizinosaurus, will end up somewhere predictable.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14361437858302104070noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3248412803814730250.post-37963011181711736682016-03-26T15:07:43.662-07:002016-03-26T15:07:43.662-07:00I don't know if I should laugh or cringe at th...I don't know if I should laugh or cringe at that AWFUL cladogram.
