Missed the email with the first comment.

I'd say that if Agnolin et al. are right about the differences between Rapator and Australovenator being trivial, but they're both distinct from other genera, then yes they would be synonymous. As for whether Agnolin et al. ARE right about those things, I still have no opinion.

In regard to "robustus", I agree with Cau that most of the supposed abelisauroid characters are also found in megaraptorans. So I'm not planning to change its placement on my site.Mickey Mortimerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08831823442911513851noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3248412803814730250.post-87872926527656143972010-07-11T13:17:48.227-07:002010-07-11T13:17:48.227-07:00Hello Mickey, could please give me an answer? :)Hello Mickey, could please give me an answer? :)Fabrizionoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3248412803814730250.post-7465398224727435762010-06-18T16:06:55.197-07:002010-06-18T16:06:55.197-07:00Very interesting. I didnt ever know what nomen dubium really means
But does it mean "Rapator=Australovenator"? as Holtz said here?
http://scienceblogs.com/tetrapodzoology/2010/03/tyrant_dinosaurs_in_australia.php#comment-2379947

And Mickey, could you please tell me what you think about "Allosaurus" robustus (aka dwarf allosaur)? What do you consider it to be? Andrea Cau said among 4 characters found in Abelisauroidea, at least 3 of them are found in Allosauroidea as wellFabriziohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10970403972342514144noreply@blogger.com
